The Cres debut album was originally released in an edition of 900 copies in 1981 on Leathr Records. Elektra Records signed the band the following year and remixed, re-recorded and re-released the album. While the album only reached #77 on the Billboard 200 album chart, it did ultimately reach platinum status. The songs Stick To Your Guns and Live Wire were released as singles, and the cover is an homage to The Rolling Stones 1971 album Sticky Fingers.
