Hailing from the mountains of Boone, North Carolina, Rainbow Kitten Surprise takes influence from artists like Modest Mouse, Lana Del Rey and Kings of Leon delivering catchy, yet deep lyrical meaning, beautifully designed bass lines, and melodic guitar riffs. RKS’s excellent 2013 debut LP is a combination of their first EP, Mary, which was recorded in a dorm room at Appalachian State University, where the core of the band started, and Seven, their first album.
