Originally released in 2012, The Very Beast of Dio, Vol. 2 is the follow-up compilation to The Very Best of Dio released in 2000, which included tracks from Dio’s first six albums and live EP. Picking up where the previous album left off, Vol. 2 includes tracks from the band’s seventh to tenth albums, released between 1996-2002.
