MILES DAVIS The Complete Plugged Nickel Sessions (Rare Limited Edition 1995 US Mosaic audiophile 39-track TEN LP Box Set pressed on 180gram Vinyl, comprising recordings of seven performance sets over two historic nights by the second great Miles Quintet at the now-defunct Plugged Nickel nightclub in Chicago on December 22 & 23, 1965. Note, the entire full recordings were not released until the appearance of this now long out of print set. Also stars Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter & Tony Williams, housed in a 12″ pasted two-piece picture box with silver foil lettering complete with an exclusive 12-page LP-sized booklet, featuring stunning black & white session photographs & extensive liner notes, hand numbered out of just 5000 copies. Due to the weight of this incredible Miles tome, the box grades Very Good with a few corner dents to show for its efforts. The majority of the vinyl is Near Mint but downgrades to Excellent overall due to a small scratch on C1 causing a few light clicks on rotation.
