The latest release from the 11-time GRAMMY award-winning horn/string arranger and former section leader/arranger of Prince and the New Power Generation, Philip Lassiter, features rising vocalist Durand Bernarr, global saxophone sensation Candy Dulfer, and a 15-piece ensemble. The release is titled “Repent”, a favorite of Lassiter fans, and the final single leading up to Lassiter’s live studio recording ‘Raw In Amsterdam’, which will be available from Color Red in July 2023. The release of ‘Raw In Amsterdam’ will be available upon Lassiter’s performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival 2023. The song is a funk-fueled powerhouse with infectious grooves, tight rhythms, and blistering solos.
