APHRODITE’S CHILD 666 (Rare 1972 Dutch 24-track Vertigo ‘Spaceship’ label double vinyl LP, gatefold picture sleevecombining Psychedelia, Prog Rock & biblical passages from John 13-18. Vangelis has stated that the album was apparently createdunder the influence of Sahlep, a Turkish flour consumed in beverages or deserts. This, coupled with its ‘Number Of The Beast’ album title, was misinterpreted by fundamentalist Christians as perhaps a drug, a demon, or even a black magic sect!The gatefold sleeve shows some light edge wear & the vinyl is clean & grades EX/EX- with a few faint paper hairlines not upsetting play)
