YUSEF LATEEF Lost In Sound (Record Store Day 2026 UK/EU limited edition double album 2-LP pressed on Translucent Magenta Vinyl, presenting the 1972 album in both mono and stereo. Lost In Sound receives its first official vinyl reissue in more than five decades! Recorded in New York on 14 August 1961, it is Yusef Lateef’s only release for the Charlie Parker label and features him focusing exclusively on tenor saxophone. The album is performed by a quintet featuring Vincent Pitts on trumpet, John Harman on piano, Ray McKinny on bass, and Clifford Jarvis or George Scott on drums. Across the set, Lateef moves through material including Soul Blues, Dexterity, Trudy’s Delight and Big Foot, with the session combining hard bop, swing and a more exploratory edge.
