CORNELIUS CARDEW Cornelius Cardew Memorial Concert (Scarce 1985 UK 12-track double vinyl LP, gatefold picture sleeve with eight-page booklet and company catalogue insert. Recorded at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in 1982 to celebrate the life and music of Cornelius Cardew who, sadly died, the previous year. Cardew was an English experimental music composer, and founder (with Howard Skempton and Michael Parsons) of the Scratch Orchestra, an experimental performing ensemble. Such was Cardews position in music the performers read like a who’s who of experimental music [Gavin Bryars, Michael Nyman, David Bedford]. The sleeve is Excellent and the vinyl is Near Mint IMP28204)
