Andrew Bailies Mr. Sunshine is an exploration in soundscape. Galvanized from a loop of the A section, Bailies process started with a drone and slow burn for a period of months as he workshopped the tune daily in his Hamilton Heights apartment while living in New York City. Mr. Sunshine was the nickname given to his cousin Lowell who passed away tragically in 2015 and the song is a tribute to him transcending the physical realm and now walking in the sunshine. Bailie attributes David Gilmores guitar playing on iconic Pink Floyd records Dark Side of the Moon and Animals as a massive influence that had a huge effect on him and the torch is carried in the highest regard in this cinematic, blues rock release.
