Description
Windows 96 is an electronic music project by Brazilian composer and producer Gabriel Eduardo. Combining the sound of synth/vaporwave, psychedelic, VGM and more. This 2019 self-released LP is the latest artifact to cross over to the physical realm. Gabriels lighthearted approach leaves most of vaporwaves original touchstones intact – lo-fi textures, neon synths and jazz schmaltz, with tight snares and rubbery synth bass cutting straight though the mix (not 100% sure but it sounds like its been made completely sample-free). Fleeting synth leads and the occasional obscured vocal are left to flounder in the lo-fi quicksand. Tracks to check: Venus Aire, Wasting Time, Deep Swim and Hazy Trip. Limited edition of 800.
