Freekbass & The Bump Assembly use the power of groove to mystify listeners in Get Out of Your Own Head. Placing emphasis on the one with their futuristic brand of Ohio-style funk, the group addresses escapism and freeing oneself from the entanglement of thoughts spinning around in their head. This is another tune where Freekbass and songwriter Joe Jordan worked hand-in-hand to produce the blueprint then enlisted vocalist Sammi Garett to elaborate upon the lyrics and Rico Lewis and Sky White to add their signature touches of funky finesse to complete the track. Produced by Eddie Roberts at Color Red Studios in Denver, this song marks the fourth and final track off of the group’s forthcoming EP to be released in November 2020.
