For almost a decade, J2G Live has been bringing world-class artists together to celebrate the greatest dance party songs of all-time for their sought-after ‘Dance Party Time Machine’ shows. They’ve coalesced wild lineups that include the likes of members of The Disco Biscuits, STS9, Trey Anastasio Band, The New Deal, Vulfpeck, Robert Randolph, and more. Now, they’re bringing the show to your speakers in their first-ever digital single. The collaborative project will release a cover of the iconic Talking Heads hit “”Burning Down the House”” on Color Red on June 19, 2020.

Featuring Aron Magner (The Disco Biscuits), Mike Greenfield (Lotus), Lyle Divinsky (The Motet), Ryan Jalbert (The Motet), Josh Fairman (SunSquabi), Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), and Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band), the quarantine collaboration originally debuted on 420 for a Cause, presented by LivWell, Color Red, and J2GLive. The digital festival benefited four charities that included Colorado Comedy Relief Fund, Colorado Restaurant Association, Eddie Roberts’ Payback, and the Colorado COVID Relief Fund.

Each member of the collaboration laid down their parts at home and the final product was passed to Josh Fairman to mix and master and Ninja Video to craft a video showcasing the artists in their respective spaces. [Magner quote]

Color Red and Dance Party Time Machine will continue their partnership releasing four more singles throughout the summer with rotating lineups of high-caliber performers.
