Before Davis passing in 2020, the two artists began with a collection of Macs handwritten lyrics on yellow legal pads. Davis equatedCoyles powerful voice to Roy Orbison and declared him the only one fit to sing these songs. The album features duets with Davis, KT Tunstall, Cassandra Lewis, and Jaime Wyatt pressed on blue splatter vinyl.
