ELVIS PRESLEY & JANIS MARTIN Janis & Elvis (Limited Edition 1985 French issue of the very rare 1958 South African 8-track 10″ LP that was originally withdrawn the day after release, housed in a glossy picture sleeve reproducing the original album artwork. First issued to attempt to recover Janis’ royalties, it was released on a Friday & by Saturday afternoon, Colonel Tom had somehow gotten word & called RCA & made them pull it because: #1 – NOBODY performs with Elvis & # 2 – It wascalled ‘Janis & Elvis’ & not ‘Elvis & Janis’!
