It also features Roy Haynes sitting in for regular drummer Elvin Jones in the studio, and at a stunning live performance at the Newport Jazz Festival, before ending with the classic quartet on blazing form at the Birdland jazz club. Presented in chronological order, these timeless cuts reveal the unstoppable evolution of a fearless artist.
