Featuring his signature soprano sax, this album cultivates the quintessential “Coltrane Sound” in six succinct parts. This new ‘Coltrane’s Sound’ (Mono) LP is a breakout from the forthcoming Rhino High-Fidelity box set entitled ‘John Coltrane: 1960-1964’. All lacquers are AAA cut directly from the mono tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180-gram vinyl by Optimal, with meticulous detailing on the album packaging that includes glossy covers and “tip-on” jackets.
