Description
KARLHEINZ STOCKHAUSEN Hymnen (Rare 1995 German 4CD set, housed in a double jewel case with outer card slipcase and informative one hundred and ninety five page booklet [printed in German and English]. This legendary electronic and musique concrete work is divided into two separate parts: Discs 1 & 2 are the pieces which use tape only, Discs 2 & 4 utillises the same tape background but with soloists. The ‘tape’ section was realised in the Studio fr elektronische Musik, WDR Kln/Cologne (1966-67) and the recording with soloists was recorded WDR Kln/Cologne (March 31st to April 3rd 1969). Karlheinz Stockhausen personally mixed down and mastered these recordings from the original analogue tapes for this CD edition.
