LARRY YOUNG Into Something (Very rare 1964 US 5-track mono deep groove LP on the New York Blue Note label with VAN GELDER & ‘ear’ etched into the runout grooves on both sides, pasted picture sleeve. Young’s debut for Blue Note is a hard-bop delight featuring Grant Green, Elvin Jones and Sam Rivers on tenor saxophone.The sleeve shows some edge scuffing, discolouration to the reverse, however, it is free of rips/tears and al text is clearly legible. The vinyl shows some faint hairlines and scuffs [nothing excessive] and grades a strong VG. Play testing reveals no great loss in fidelity. With mint copies regualrly topping the 300 mark, here’s your chance to pick up a more than acceptable play copy at an advantageous price BLP4187)
