LEON WARE Musical Massage (1976 Japanese sample 10-track vinyl LP with custom promotional white Motown labels, the second solo album by the late Detroit Soul legend. It’s rare groove heaven all the way [& a nice Kirk Degiorgio recommendation of the 90s!] involving Ray Parker Jr, Minnie Riperton, Marvin Gaye, Bobby Womack & more. Remarkably, this record was made after Marvin Gaye took most of the original songs from it for his album I Want You. Either way, both records are now viewed on a par – essential late night, silky soul, picture sleeve depicting Playboy’s June 1975 Playmate Of The Month Azizi Johari with lyric insert. The sleeve shows foxing and the vinyl is Near Mint VIP-6373)
