With roots in Germany and the UK, Metal Hammer was born in the mid 1980s and became arguably the most well known metal magazine in the world. While the cover artists are oftenmore mainstream in nature, the magazine has featured a myriad oftrue, thrash, gothic, death and black metal bands in its pages.
