Originally released in 1972, ‘Pink Moon’ differs from Drake’s previous albums in that it was recordedwithout orchestration, featuring just Drake on vocals, acoustic guitar and a single piano melodyoverdubbed onto the title track.
Like Nick Drake’s previous studio albums, Pink Moon did not sell well during his lifetime, and itsstripped-back, intimate sound received a mixed response from critics. However, the album has sincegarnered significant critical acclaim, appearing on a number of best-of lists.
