Description
2023 saw the Rats release their debut album, Should Have Smelt a Rat (released July 14 on Lp/Cd & Tape via Hiss & Crackle Records). The 8 track full length is a great example of the trios growth in textural sound, introducing those heavier elements whilst continuing to provide the layered dimensions of slide and harmonica along with multi vocal delivery that were successfully appreciated on the EP. The album was recorded at Upperchuck Industries in Newcastle, recorded and mixed by Chuck Wise and Mastered at Goatsound by Jason Fuller. It will also be the bands first release on vinyl, with the album being pressed by Brisbanes Suitcase Records.
