• Under the moniker Soft Hair, two enfants terribles of the scene have come together: Sam (Eastgate) Dust is already a member of the Domino family under his pseudonym LA Priest. Together with Connan Mockasin, both now have the hair beautiful
  Soft Hair is a project that Mockasin and Dust announced on Facebook over five years ago. That was about a year after the two met on Late Of The Pier’s last tour. Connan had been playing support for Sam Dust’s band at the time. But while Sam Dust was traveling the world, inventing his own instruments, painting and learning sculpture before releasing his solo debut “Inji” as LA Priest in 2015, Mockasin actually released two well-received albums, “Forever Dolphin Love” and “Caramel,” toured the world with them and worked with artists like Vince Staples, Charlotte Gainsbourg and James Blake
  So it’s hardly surprising that it took more than five years to complete their album. All the songs were recorded in a council apartment in St Anne and a factory in Sneinton in Nottingham; above a car repair garage and an old school building in Anawhata, New Zealand; in the basement and bedroom of Sam’s house in Loughborough; in Connan’s apartment near Old Street, London; in Studio Ferber, Paris; in a bungalow in Kurby Muxloe; in Leicestershire and a bit in hotels around Europe.
