Written by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook when they were just 19 and 16, Trixies began life as an early concept album inspired by a fictional members’ club imagined inthe early 1970s. Set in a smoky, glamorous world reminiscent of a 1920s or ’30s speakeasy, the story unfolds through a cast of colourful characters and narrative-driven songs. The project remained unreleased for decades before being fully realised with contemporary musicianship and production.
