Michal Menert is a multitalented musician, producer, and vocalist best known for having co-founded the widely influential electronic project Pretty Lights. Electric Beethoven chose to work with Michal on the remix of The Seventh because of his unique approach to sound design and his attention to a remixs global soundscape, as opposed to rehashing the same ideas heard over and over again throughout the popular electronic music spectrum. The group was pleased and pleasantly surprised upon listening to his remix of their interpretation of Beethovens Seventh Symphony. Through four distinct and measured approaches, Michal seemed to align with our original intent as his remix moves between each repetition of form, morphing in detail and subtle change while steadily building intensity. In one word: exciting!!
